Die Insel (The Island)

"Die Insel" as it is called is a small, clearly defined part of Frankfurt's eastern harbour. From the large structures of loading cranes, concrete plants, and container terminals, to small pubs and dilapidated structures to places where nature is trying to assert itself, it stands in stark contrast to the gleaming glass structures of the nearby financial district. Since 2018 I have been documenting the changes taking place at this little-noticed part of the city.
